MHT-CET 2016 conducted by DTE-Its Eligibility-Syllabus

The MHT-CET 2016 will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. It has been confirmed that the exam will be computer based for the academic year 2016-17. The exam is conducted for admissions into B.E./B.Tech programmes in various professional educational institutions.

DTE Maharashtra will tentatively conduct MHT-CET 2016 for first year B.E/B. Tech programmes in May 2016. The application forms for the same will tentatively be available by February 2016 fourth week. Those who have cleared Class 12 or equivalent and want to pursue undergraduate programmes in Maharashtra engineering colleges, can apply for MHT-CET 2016.

MHT-CET 2016 Eligibility criteria:

MHT-CET 2016 Educational qualification: The candidates interested in applying for this exam should have passed Class 12 from any recognised board or equivalent in India. They should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45 percent for SC/ST/OBC candidates). The candidates of Maharashtra must have obtained a positive composite score (Combination of JEE Main 2015 and Boards Marks).

MHT-CET 2016 Syllabus:

Chemistry Syllabus:Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Redox Reactions, Acid -Base concepts, Electrochemistry , Catalysis, Colloids , Periodic Table, Preparation and Properties of the following, Thermo chemistry , General Organic chemistry, Isomerism, IU PAC, Polymers , Carbohydrates, Preparation and properties, Solid state, Petroleum.

Physics Syllabus: Measurement Motion in one dimension, Laws of motion in two dimensions, work Power and energy linear momentum & collisions, Gravitation, Oscillatory motion, Mechanics of solids and fluids, Heat and thermodynamics wave, Electrostatics , current electricity ,Magnetic in matter, electromagnetic induction, Ray optics and optical wave, optics modern physics.

Mathematics syllabus: Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus, vectors, Dynamics, statics.

About MHT-CET: MHT-CET is a state level medical entrance exam. It is conducted to offer admissions in medical courses such as MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, BDS, BPTh, BASLP, BOTh, BP&O and BSc. Nursing.

Eligibility for JEE (Main) 2016 Exam

All the 12th pass students under the various state boards along with the students of CBSE boards, and the students appearing for the exams of 12th class are eligible for JEE Mains examination.

Eligibility is defined in the 2.9 section of the information bullet, according to which:

1. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1991 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1986 are eligible.

2. So if you fall in the reserved category and born after the year 1986, Mahatama Gandhi’s birthday anniversary. Then you are eligible for JEE Exams otherwise you should have to be born only and after the year 1991. Roughly candidates of 25 years or less age can participate for examinations.

3. Those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 or 2015; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016.

4. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016.

5. Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main) – 2016. All the CBSE Science Stream students are eligible for the examinations.

Apply for Jee-Main 2016 on jeemain.nic.in from 01-Dec

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification of JEE Mains. The online registration will commence from December 1, 2015 and the last date for the registration is December. To check the official website, click here.

The JEE (Main) paper I and paper II offline exam will be conducted on Sunday, April 03, 2016 and paper I online exam will be held on Saturday, April 09, 2016 and Sunday, April 10, 2016.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. Those candidates who are looking for admissions into undergraduate programmes BE, B. Tech, B Arch in NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other institutions can apply for the exam.

The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs/ISM Dhanbad.

You need to follow these simple steps to apply online:

Step 1: Download the information bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility.
Step 2: Then read the contents of online format and instructions for applying online given in the information bulletin and keep the entire information ready.
Step 3: Keep the scanned images of your photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression ready in JPG format only.
Step 4: Fill in the online application form.
Step 5: Upload scanned images of photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression.
Step 6: Pay examination fee by debit/credit card or e-challan (generated after submission of details in online application form).
Step 7: Download acknowledgement slip and keep the same in safe custody for future reference.
