JEE-Mains Result 2018 Topped by Bhogi Suraj Krishna - Check Toppers List

New Delhi: Vijayawada's Bhogi Suraj Krishna has topped the Joint Entrance Examination-Mains for admissions to engineering colleges across the country, with over 2.3 lakh students, including more than 50,000 girls, qualifying the test whose results were declared on Monday by the CBSE.

The second rank in the exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was bagged by Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Andhra Pradesh, while Rajasthan's Parth Laturia secured the third spot.

“I was confident of my performance when the answer keys were out, but had not expected to bag the top rank,” Krishna told PTI over the phone from Vijayawada, adding that he wants to join IIT Bombay.

While over 11 lakh candidates had registered for the exam, a total of 10.74 lakh candidates had appeared for the test, of which 2,31,024 qualified the exam.

Among those who have cleared the exam, 1,80, 331 are boys and 50,693 girls. Besides seeking admission in various engineering colleges across India, the qualified candidates are also eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced which is an entrance test for IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.

"The JEE question papers are prepared in original by over 100 item writers. These item writers are subject experts. They prepare over 1,500 items over a period of two months during the year of the exam.

"All these questions are prepared by the item writers in original and they are handwritten. After that, 90 questions are drawn randomly and 8-9 sets are created. Anyone set is randomly picked for use in JEE," a senior board official explained.

The exam was conducted at 1,621 centres (1,613 in India and 8 abroad) across 112 cities (104 in India and 8 abroad).

The registration process for JEE Advanced 2018 would start from 2 May and the examination is scheduled to be conducted on 20 May.

This year, the CBSE board is not giving any weight to class 12 board exam marks but will rank qualifying students on the basis of their JEE Main 2018 score.

However, candidates have to show the class 12th (regular/improvement) marksheet with 75 percent marks at the reporting centres at the time of counselling/admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions.

JEE Main 2018 Result-Rank Declared - Check Live Updates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare JEE (Main) Result 2018 on April 30.

According to sources, the result for JEE (Main) 2018 Paper I and Paper II (both online and offline mode) is expected to be declared at 6:30 PM onwards on the official websites of CBSE & JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in.

In 2018, around 14 lakh students participated in JEE Mains entrance exam. The CBSE Board will release the JEE main 2018 result along with the marks & ranks on the official results website of the Board - cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in.

CBSE Set to Announce JEE Main 2018 Paper I Results on 30 April

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the result of JEE Main 2018 on 30 April. Candidates who appeared in the entrance exam on 8 April (Paper I) and online on 15 and 16 April can check their respective results. However, for those who appeared in Paper II on 8 April, the result will be announced on 31 May, 2018.

What after result?

If you have scored marks equal to or more than the prescribed JEE Main cutoff for JEE Advanced, congratulations! You are part of the 2, 24,000 students eligible to write JEE Advanced for admissions to the IITs. This means that you can start serious preparation for the exam which will be held on 20 May. The JEE Advanced application form 2018 will be available from 2 May to 7 May.

Admissions to NITs, IITs and CFTIs

This will be through a common counselling conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) which will be held about 19 June. The counselling held by it also includes the IITs. So all candidates who have secured a merit rank in JEE Main are eligible to participate in the counselling while candidates who qualify in JEE advanced by scoring the minimum prescribed cutoff marks and a valid rank will be eligible to apply for the IITs.

To know whether you have a chance to get admission in any of the NITs, IITs and CFTIs, check the cutoff ranks and trends of the previous years. The same holds for the IITs where you may have to check for the JEE Advanced cutoff.

JoSAA will hold counselling for 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs) and 20 Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other GFTIs).

JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 Official Answer Key Released at jeemain.nic.in

JEE Main 2018: The answer key for the JEE Main Examination (Paper 1), that is organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, has been released on the official website of the board i.e. jeemain.nic.in. The CBSE had organised the JEE Main 2018 entrance examination on April 8 (offline mode) and April 15, 16 (online mode), earlier this month, for candidates seeking admissions to BE, B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning in top engineering and technological institutes in the country.

The answer key and the recorded responses released by the board for the JEE Main offline examination will be available on the official website till April 27th 2018. The process to download the JEE Main 2018 answer key from the official website is very easy and simple.

The candidate will first have to visit the official JEE Main 2018 website i.e. www.jeemain.nic.in then they have to click on the respective link to download answer key/recorded response. There will be redirected to the login page. Enter the login credentials correctly. The answer keys will be displayed on the screen.

The students who disagree with the answer keys and feel that some may be wrong can challenge the same by 27 April. The Central Board of Secondary Education has specified the procedure which involves mailing the challenge with proof and online payment of the specified fee. The candidates who are submitting an objection will have to pay a sum of Rs 1,000 per question till 11:59 pm on April 27, 2018.

This year, approximately 10.4 lakh students had appeared in the JEE Main 2018 offline exam. More than 2 lakh students had appeared for the online exam. Those who appeared for the online exam were sent the answer key and recorded response on their registered email id.

Official JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 Answer Key - Released

The JEE Main result for Paper I is scheduled to be declared on 30 April in online mode. The candidates must note that the All India Ranks obtained in JEE Main will also be announced along with the result. The candidates will also be able to download their rank cards. However, the result for Paper II is likely to be announced in the first week of May.

This year, 2,24,000 candidates will be eligible to appear for the entrance exam that allows for admissions to the IITs. The candidates can get admissions through the common counselling held by JoSAA – Joint Seat Allocation Authority for the NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and the IITs. The JoSAA counselling will tentatively be held from June 19.

JEE Main 2018 Offline-Exam Paper-1 Analysis with Answer Key

CBSE has organised the offline or pen and paper mode of JEE Main 2018 paper 1 today.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the official agency which organises competitive entrance examinations like JEE Main and NEET, has organised the offline or pen and paper mode of JEE Main 2018 today. Those candidates who have registered for the offline mode attended the paper 1 in the morning while the paper 2 will be concluded in the afternoon shift.

10.4 lakh students have registered for JEE Mains in total. The official answer keys of this exam will be released on the last week of this month. However, several private agencies are expected to release unofficial answer keys after the completion of the exam today.

Initial responses from candidates suggested that the paper was not as tough as they expected. Some candidates said the physics section was comparatively the toughest.

JEE Main 2018 paper 1 in Pen and Paper mode was held at different centres located in 112 cities throughout the country and abroad today.

Paper 1 for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) was held from three hours from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The paper included questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The examinees were given question papers in English and Hindi medium while examination centre cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli were given question papers in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

Entry in the examination hall for frisking for morning shift was started at 7.00 am while the test commenced from 9.30 am and it was concluded by 12.30 pm.

CBSE conducted this competitive entrance examination one week after it was criticised heavily for the paper leak of Class 12 economics paper. According to reports, the board has conducted the paper 1 of JEE main without any untoward incidents.

JEE Main 2018 Answer Key

The JEE Mains official answer keys and images of response sheets (OMR sheets) of pen and paper based examination and answer keys of Computer based examination will be displayed on the official website of the exam during 24th - 27th April, 2018.

The answer keys will be available on the website www.jeemain.nic.in.

The candidates, who are not satisfied with the responses provided the organisers, may challenge them by filling online application form and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question. The JEE Main answer key challenge will also be accepted online only through the link available on the website www.jeemain.nic.in up to 11.59 PM on April 27, 2018 on payment of Rs.1000/- per question.

The fee can be paid by credit/debit card, said the official notification.

The fee once paid is non-refundable, however, in case the challenge is accepted by the Board, the fee of Rs. 1000/- for each accepted challenge will be refunded to the concerned candidate.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare the results of the Join Entrance Examination(JEE) (Main) 2017 on Thursday. The examination was held on 2 April and the results will be available on the Board’s official website. The results to be published on Thursday and will include the JEE (Main) Paper 1 score and rank and also the list of top 2, 20,000 candidates eligible for JEE (Advanced).

Merit among candidates will be decided as per higher marks in mathematics and physics and ratio of positive and negative marks. A candidate with a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to check JEE Mains 2017 exam results. Follow these steps:

1. Open the official website Result-link by Click-Here.
2. The website will flash a link: JEE Mains 2017 Results. Click on that.
3. The link will require a candidate to enter application number, date of birth and security pin.
4. Correct entry of the above three will open the results page.
5. The result will have a candidate’s score and rank card as well and whether he/she is eligible to appear for the JEE Advance 2017 Examination.
6. The rank comprises of the candidates’ All India Rank (AIR) and All India category rank.

Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resource Development notified two changes in the JEE pattern for 2017, as per the information available on the CBSE website:

First, there shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.

Second, for the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.

For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

The States of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system, however, their admission criteria will be notified by the concerned authorities.

Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main)–2017 application form online.

The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was to make the answer sheets for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) exam 2017 available on Tuesday from 10 AM onwards. However, the correction window will be open for 4 day, that is till April 22, 2017 (11.59 PM).

The examination was conducted on April 2, 2017 (pen and paper mode) and April 8 and 9 (online mode).

Steps to check/challenge answer keys, OMR sheets for JEE Main examination 2017:

2. Click on the link 'View/Challenge - Answer Key of Paper 1’
3. You will be directed a new page.
5. Enter required details such as application number, date of birth and security pin.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the response, may challenge the same by filling online application form and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question. About JEE Main Examination:

JEE Main is a vital exam for candidates as it will pave the way for entrance in premier institutes such as IITs and NITs. JEE Main scores are used as the basis for admission into institutes with technical sources funded by the centre. Candidates who are successful in their JEE Mains are then eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam.

Over 10.2 lakh students appeared for the JEE-M at 1,781 centres in 109 cities across the country this year. JEE-M is conducted in two parts- Paper I and Paper II.

Paper-I (BE/B Tech) was conducted in both computer- based (online) and paper-pen (offline) mode while Paper II (B Arch/B Planning) will be conducted in pen-paper mode only.

According to the new HRD Ministry notification, there shall be no weightage for class 12 marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination. For the candidates to qualify for IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced) /JEE(Main) ranks, they should secure at least 75% marks in class 12 exams, or be in the top 20 percentile. JEE Main 2017 Exam Analysis: Paper was of Moderate Difficulty, say Experts

JEE main 2017 exam analysis: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had conducted the Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT JEE) main exam on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Experts who have analysed the paper found that it had a moderate difficulty level.

The pattern followed this year was similar to the JEE main patter from 2011 to 2016. Over 10 lakh candidates appeared for the exam which was conducted in the offline mode for entrance to BE, BTech, BArch and BPlanning courses. Only the top 2,20,000 candidates who clear the main exam will be shortlisted for the advanced paper who will have to compete for 11,032 seats in the IITs.

“Overall difficulty level for paper is between easy to moderate. For a student who has been focused and serious all through the two years… must have done reasonably well,” said RL Trikha, the Director of FIITJEE. Experts found that while the paper was moderate, there were a few tricky questions.

“In all the three subjects, 5-6 questions were framed quite differently. This year, lesser number of questions were memory based,” said Aakash Chaudhary, director of Aakash Educational Services Pvt Ltd. He added that the Physics and Chemistry portions of the paper were relatively simple while the maths portion had a few difficult questions.

“Questions asked were conceptual and nearer to the JEE advanced paper in terms of tricks and approach. Students confined to NCERT and related text books would find it difficult,” Chaudhary said about the Maths section.

“While questions were based on simple formulae, a lot of them were calculation-based. The paper contained 15 questions from Algebra, six from Calculus, three from Trigonometry, three from Conics and three from Vector Algebra,” said Rajshekhar Ratrey, VP Educational Content of Toppr.com.

Experts noted that there were 25 easy questions, 53 moderate questions and 12 difficult questions. According to them, Mathematics was the toughest section of the three and the expected cut off for advanced would be around 100.

JEE Main 2017: Entrance Exam was ‘Easy to Moderately Difficult’

Around 10 lakh students appeared in the JEE Main 2017 examination held on Sunday across more than 2,000 centres in 109 cities in India and abroad.

The pattern of questions of JEE (Main) exam 2017, for B.E/B.Tech courses (Paper I), was similar to that of the last five years. It had objective type, multiple choice questions (MCQ). There were 30 questions each from physics, chemistry and mathematics. Four marks were allotted for each right answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be no negative marking for questions not attempted.

The Paper was set from CBSE Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Expectedly, many of the questions were conceptual with some needing analytical skills. Twenty-five questions were easy, 53 moderately difficulty and 12 relatively more difficult.

In the D Set, questions 34 and 54 of physics were tough and needed analytical ability beyond NCERT book/deep study. In chemistry there were two or three questions requiring deep conceptual understanding and application. In mathematics Set-D’s question, 28 was controversial and few questions were lengthy. However, serious students must have found paper relatively easy, compared to last year.

In our opinion, well-prepared candidates maintaining their cool during the exam should have been able to attempt most of questions.

Overall difficulty level for the paper was between easy to moderate. A candidate who stayed focused for two years and worked towards improving speed and accuracy, by taking regular quizzes and mock tests, he/she must have done reasonably well. It is always relative performance, which matters in such competitive examinations.

Cut-off for CML (Common Merit List) in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 was 113,115,105,100 respectively. Cut-off this year is going to be high around 115.

Admission through centralised allocation process in NIT’s / IIIT’s / DTU / CFTI’s for over 24,000 seats in undergraduate courses will be done according to merit list based on marks in JEE Main examination. However, a candidate must be in top 20 percentile of respective board or should score minimum 75% marks in his/her board examination.

Additionally, a total of 9 states (Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, Gujarat, M.R., M.P., Odisha, Punjab and Rajasthan) will also accept JEE-M ranks to fill seats through their own seat allocation process.

Top 2, 20,000 candidates of JEE Main will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced on May 21, 2017 to fight for one of 11,032 seats in IITs.

Opting wrong methods during preparation will, on one hand, dampen your progress. On the other, it will accumulate stress and affect your overall performance considerably. Ignoring the basics:

Students often make their preparations synonymous to studying with an exhaustive combination of reference books and study material. In reality, more than 70% of the questions are either from the NCERT or are an extended version of its learnings. Students should primarily stick to NCERT course books and head towards reference books only upon its completion. Also, Class XI syllabus constitutes a substantial portion of the JEE exam. Ensure that you revise its topics simultaneously along with your Class XII syllabus. If an examination is fast-approaching, identify the recurring Class XI questions from previous year’s question papers and specifically revise those topics.

Avoiding conceptual understanding:

It has been observed that students prefer method-based approach rather than applying a conceptual understanding over the questions. Initially, this approach might serve the purpose, but it can become quite detrimental for students because many a times, despite being framed on similar lines, a slightly off-patterned question becomes difficult to understand. Thus, it is always imperative to apply concepts in each and every topic that you practice.

Falling into traps:

When students practice similar questions too often, they develop a tendency to identify and solve them as per their self-interpretation. MCQ questions are often framed in a deceptive manner. Ensure that you read and understand the questions properly before attempting them. As they are also supplemented with incorrect answers, failing to do so will result in negative marking for a question that you could have easily solved.

Also, avoid silly mistakes. After performing well in mock drills and practice papers, students, to a certain degree, become overconfident. This lead to careless mistakes and wasting of a substantial amount of time in rechecking calculations. Do not lose your focus while solving a question in the first place. This will help you ensure that the solution has been corrected at each and every step. Additionally, during an examination, students tend to avoid long questions in fear of losing crucial time. Contrary to this popular belief, the long text questions are often easier to solve. So, do not ignore or give them a miss.

Giving up hobbies:

In an attempt to give their complete attention towards the exam, students end up quitting their hobbies and indulging in daily activities. Doing so, can reduce the enthusiasm, stress up the brain, and decrease efficiency, thereby resulting in a lacklustre performance. Prevent making your preparations cumbersome. You’ll be able to grasp and retain more information by maintaining a stress-free mind. Moreover, engaging yourself in physical activities will enable you to keep up a healthy lifestyle, which is very crucial during preparations. Students must try and enrol themselves in performance-enhancing activities such as yoga, meditation, or anything else that suits them better.

Doubting oneself:

This possibly is the biggest blunder that students make during the preparation. Giving room to doubts directly increases hesitation and leads to lack of confidence. Trust yourself and your abilities. Develop a positive mind-set. To do so, implement a goal-oriented strategy. For students that are not able to deal with this problem must set long-term goals initially. However, this activity should not be done during the last 15 days before the examination.

The Final Countdown:

Students putting a lot of efforts during their early preparations are often seen slacking as the examination approaches. This pattern is more dominant in self-studying students that have no mentor. As a result, their performances drop severely. This also increases conceptual doubts later and makes time management exceedingly difficult during the final week. Completing syllabus before time is not an assurance of success. Students must constantly practice in order to increase retention and enhance their skill set in terms of speed and calculation.

This year, the 5th Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 will be conducted on (Sunday) April 2 (pen and paper mode) and April 8 and 9 (online mode).

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice regarding the Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Exam (IIT JEE) Main Exam 2017.

The admit cards were released on Mach 14.

This year, the 5th Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 will be conducted on (Sunday) April 2 (pen and paper mode) and April 8 and 9 (online mode).

Note: The revised admit cards will be available from March 21 on its official website, the link for which is jeemain.nic.in

Further, in order to counter the rush, the CBSE has provided two separate links for downloading of admit cards for candidates.

All those candidates who have successfully cleared the JEE (Mains) will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam round. Students will be allotted colleges on the basis of these two written exams.

JEE Main 2017 Exam Schedule and Important Activity Dates

The admit cards for the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) 2017 has been released and available at the official website: jeemain.nic.in. The date of examination is 2 April and the results will be declared on 27 April.

After clearing the Mains, candidates can opt for JEE Advanced 2017 for admission into IITs. The JEE main online exam will be held on 8-9 April and the results will be out on the same day for all.

As a reminder for candidates, the pattern for JEE Mains 2017 has been changed by the ministry.

No weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main examination 2017 and a minimum of 75% in class is required to qualify in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE (Main) ranks.

For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Conducted by the JEE Apex Board, the JEE Mains exam ranks candidates on merit which enables admissions for Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs), but not IITs.

The JEE admit card can be downloaded at the official website by providing application number, date of birth, and a security pin.

A ‘Forgot application number’ option is also available on the website for those who are not able to recall their application number. They will have to provide extra information such as name, name of the parents, date of birth, state of eligibility and security pin to retrieve the application number.

JEE Main-Advanced 2017 Notification, Exam Date & Schedule Announced

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2017 [JEE (Advanced) 2017] will be conducted by the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2017. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The decisions of the JAB 2017 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2017 and admission to IITs.

The examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration and will be held as per the following schedule:

JEE-Main: A NEET-Like Single Entrance Test for Engineering Likely

Bengaluru: Engineering colleges across the country may go the NEET way. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which governs engineering colleges, is contemplating making JEE-Main the single entrance test for undergraduate BE courses.

At present, the Central Board of Secondary Education conducts JEE-Main for admissions to the premier IITs, National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology and other centrally funded institutes.

AICTE chairman Anil D Sahasrabudhe told TOI on Tuesday some states are currently using JEE-Main as the entrance test to fill engineering seats in state colleges. "We are planning to make JEE-Main the single entrance test in the country. JEE-Main is based on the CBSE syllabus and different states are following different syllabi; so having a single entrance test for engineering is still in the planning stage."

Like medical admissions, students end up writing multiple entrance tests for engineering courses too. Students in Karnataka write at least four entrance tests - CET, ComedK, JEE and entrance to various deemed universities.

Sahasrabudhe said AICTE panel will visit engineering colleges with a lack of infrastructure, low student strength, lack of faculty and equipment. If flaws are found, such colleges will be shut down.

"Some colleges approach us to shut due to poor student strength; we have eased this process also. Earlier, we were collecting Rs 3 lakh to approve closure of such colleges, now it's cut to Rs 50,000. As per the new rule, the intake capacity of seats in engineering colleges, which don't have accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), will not be increased, and AICTE will increase the intake capacity of engineering colleges which have NBA accreditation," he said.

At present, 15% of colleges have NBA accreditation.

Since not a single Indian engineering institute is among the top 100 institutes in the world, the HRD ministry has taken up a new initiative. Sahasrabudhe said the MHRD will identify 10 good private institutes and 10 government institutes, and provide funds and give freedom to improve aspects to become one among the top 100 institutes globally.

MHT-CET 2016 conducted by DTE-Its Eligibility-Syllabus

The MHT-CET 2016 will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. It has been confirmed that the exam will be computer based for the academic year 2016-17. The exam is conducted for admissions into B.E./B.Tech programmes in various professional educational institutions.

DTE Maharashtra will tentatively conduct MHT-CET 2016 for first year B.E/B. Tech programmes in May 2016. The application forms for the same will tentatively be available by February 2016 fourth week. Those who have cleared Class 12 or equivalent and want to pursue undergraduate programmes in Maharashtra engineering colleges, can apply for MHT-CET 2016.

MHT-CET 2016 Eligibility criteria:

MHT-CET 2016 Educational qualification: The candidates interested in applying for this exam should have passed Class 12 from any recognised board or equivalent in India. They should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45 percent for SC/ST/OBC candidates). The candidates of Maharashtra must have obtained a positive composite score (Combination of JEE Main 2015 and Boards Marks).

MHT-CET 2016 Syllabus:

Chemistry Syllabus:Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Redox Reactions, Acid -Base concepts, Electrochemistry , Catalysis, Colloids , Periodic Table, Preparation and Properties of the following, Thermo chemistry , General Organic chemistry, Isomerism, IU PAC, Polymers , Carbohydrates, Preparation and properties, Solid state, Petroleum.

Physics Syllabus: Measurement Motion in one dimension, Laws of motion in two dimensions, work Power and energy linear momentum & collisions, Gravitation, Oscillatory motion, Mechanics of solids and fluids, Heat and thermodynamics wave, Electrostatics , current electricity ,Magnetic in matter, electromagnetic induction, Ray optics and optical wave, optics modern physics.

Mathematics syllabus: Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus, vectors, Dynamics, statics.

Eligibility for JEE (Main) 2016 Exam

All the 12th pass students under the various state boards along with the students of CBSE boards, and the students appearing for the exams of 12th class are eligible for JEE Mains examination.

Eligibility is defined in the 2.9 section of the information bullet, according to which:

1. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1991 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1986 are eligible.

2. So if you fall in the reserved category and born after the year 1986, Mahatama Gandhi’s birthday anniversary. Then you are eligible for JEE Exams otherwise you should have to be born only and after the year 1991. Roughly candidates of 25 years or less age can participate for examinations.

3. Those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 or 2015; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016.

4. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016.

5. Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main) – 2016. All the CBSE Science Stream students are eligible for the examinations.
