Mock Test for online JEE in Jan 2013-Registration Close on 15-Dec

Candidates appearing for the newly announced Joint Entrance Exam (Main) - the entry exam for engineering colleges across the country – will be able to appear for a mock version of the computer-based test in January. The JEE (Main), which will be held in April as both a pen-paper as well as an online exam has replaced the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) and will be the first stage for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology. More than 10 lakh candidates are expected to appear for it. The JEE (Main) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

"A mock test specially made for JEE (Main)-2013 examination will also be made available to JEE (Main) 2013 computer based exam candidates in the first/ second week of January 2013," said the official website.

Candidates have the option of appearing for either the online exam or the computerised version of the exam. Registrations close on December 15.

The latest notification about the exam has also clarified that candidates who choose to give the computerised version will be able to change their answers at any point during the three-hour exam or mark an answer for review at a later stage.

The CBSE will also be giving candidates a chance to rectify errors made while filling their online registration forms by displaying these on the website in January. Candidates will be able to view this on www.jeemain.nic.in. To help candidates fill up their forms online, the CBSE has also organised for 'facilitation centres'. A list of 43 centres across the country has been announced.
